One key point mentioned by her is that we could improve our memory by increasing the depth or level of processing. An example quote by her is recalling where we park our car. For instance, if we part it at lot E6 of the car park, we could elaborate E6 as in an elephant in a car-park. Well, the more outrageous our elaboration is, the better it will stay in our memory.
Dr Angela Tan went on a little more depth on Elaborate Processing. In a deeper sense it is how we relate the subject with its environment and us.
